Prepare yourself for a journey into Southern Italy’s history and agricultural heritage. Our exploration begins with a visit to Cuma, a historically significant site as Southern Italy’s first Greek colony. Learn about the archaeological wonders of this ancient city as you go through the expansive park, with each step revealing the remnants of a civilization that left an indelible mark on the region. A highlight of the visit is the enigmatic Sibyl’s cavern, a haunting space where legends intertwine with reality – it is said that Odysseus himself sought prophecy for his future in this very cavern. Feel the echoes of ancient tales resonate as you stand within the atmospheric depths of this mystical site.

Our journey continues to a nearby wine-producing farm, where the art of winemaking is interwoven with the rhythms of family tradition. Led by a family member, we walk through the sprawling vineyards, gaining insights into the nuances of grape cultivation. Enter the cool, dim recesses of the cellars, where the aging process unfolds, and the essence of the terroir is captured in each bottle.

As the tour unfolds, the attraction of the farm deepens with a delightful lunch crafted exclusively from the orchards that surround us. The farm’s commitment to freshness and sustainability is palpable as we indulge in a feast that celebrates the flavours of sun-ripened fruits, handpicked vegetables, and homegrown products. Each dish is a testament to the farm’s dedication to preserving the authentic tastes of the region.

This leg of our journey is a celebration of both ancient and living history, where the footsteps of ancient Greeks and the time-honoured traditions of winemaking converge. As the flavours linger on your palate and the stories resonate in your mind, you depart with a profound appreciation for the richness of Southern Italy’s cultural and agricultural heritage.

FAQ

Booking should be done in advance. We recommend contacting us at least 3 months before your arrival, especially if you are booking a customised trip. Of course, we would do our best to satisfy your request also at a shorter notice but in high season (June, July, August) late bookings cannot be guaranteed.

The best months are in Spring and Fall when the weather is not too hot.

April, May, early June, late September and October being the best option.

Completely off the season tours are suggested also in Winter when the weather can still be surprisingly mild and there are very few tourists.

We usually avoid taking people around in the first three weeks of August when it is Summer high season over here. Places are packed and roads are very busy, especially along the coast and the heat can condition the visits to farms and vineyards.

This will depend on the number of guests. We supply comfortable mini vans or small buses.

Yes, however these must be communicated in advance. Please see special requirements.

If you are unsure about a trip, we can customise a trip for you. Please see link customised tours).

Bookings can be made by contacting us directly on the website. Please detail how many people and which is the type of tour you are interested in.

Each tour is different from the other and you can choose the tour which is more suitable to your requirements. Most of our tours include some walking but some are little heavier than the others, depending on the sites visited and also on the heat during the summer months. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any information about our tours.
